With the Fall season approaching, many think there is nothing to do for fun anymore. However, there are still plenty of activities that everyone can enjoy.
The first activity, which is also the most popular, is going to pumpkin patches. Even if you are not interested in the pumpkins, there are other great things offered at pumpkin patches. Between the produce, pumpkins, and petting zoos, there is something everyone can enjoy.
“I love the feeling of fall and the season of new abundance,” junior Allison Deiner said. “I love going to pumpkin patches for the concord grapes.”
Spooky haunted houses are another great way to have some fun in the fall. In Erie, there is a local haunted house called Eeriebyss Factory of Terror, located on West 12th Street. Another haunted house, only 45 minutes away from Erie, is 13 Levels of Fear, located in Crawford County. These haunted houses can be very fun for those who love spooky season!
Going along with the spooky theme of haunted houses, getting lost in a corn maze is another way to have fun outdoors. Though there are none in Erie directly, there are some nearby. There is Sissons’ Pumpkin Patch in Girard, Port Farms in Waterford, and Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm in Edinboro.
An activity that may not be appreciated by everyone, but many like, is hunting. Most find that it connects them with nature and they get to experience animal interactions that others may not.
If outdoor activities aren’t really your thing, consider an indoor movie night with all your favorite snacks. Watch your favorite movies with your favorite snacks and your favorite people. This is a great way to spend some quality time with loved ones in the comfort of your home.
