During Spirit Week at Cathedral Prep, students get the chance to get out of the school uniforms and show their school pride through fun daily themes. Here’s what the themes will look like for the week.
Monday: Superfan Day
Starting the week, students can wear their favorite concert merch or sports gear. It’s a chance to show what teams or artists you’re passionate about, whether it’s a band you love or a sports team you support. The whole school can pop with a range of colors and interests, making it a fun way to start the week.
Tuesday: Twin Day
Find a friend and match outfits for Twin Day! Whether you go for crazy and do identical looks, or just want to match color schemes, it is a fun opportunity to group up with one another and show off both of your creativity. Plus, you can always try to guess who’s who.
Freshman Eddie Terrizzi is excited for Twin Day.
“I have a brother that looks very alike to me,” Eddie said. “I think it would be funny to see people mix us two up.”
Wednesday: Soccer Moms vs. BBQ Dads
Students will have to choose, Moms or Dads, and dress based on the role. You can go for the classic soccer mom look with yoga pants and giant sunglasses or go for the BBQ dad style with aprons and cargo shorts. It’s all about bringing out your inner Mom or Dad and having fun.
Thursday: Another Day in Paradise
Get ready to bring the coconuts and sunglasses to school because Thursday’s theme is all about tropical and Hawaiian-style clothing. Think of the dress code as floral shirts, leis, or anything that will scream summer vacation. It is a great way to brighten up the school day with the bright colors and being able to bring a mini vacation to Prep!
Junior Riley Hanon is ready to finally use some new clothes in his closet. “I have a lot of Hawaiian shirts that I never wear,” Riley said.
Friday: Pink-out
Although Friday will be testing for Prep, they are still wrapping up the week with a pink-out! It is a great way to end off the week, especially for people whose favorite color is pink. The only question is how much pink can one person wear?
Spirit Week at Cathedral Prep School is always a highlight of the year with each theme showing students creativity in unique and exciting ways. It’s a time for everyone to break from the usual routine and enjoy a little extra school spirit.
