For those who haven’t seen any of the classic episodes of Trailer Park Boys, I highly recommend you watch the series from start to finish (if you’re at least 17 years old, this is not a children’s show). For the avid fans out there, I have good news: the boys are back!
Trailer Park Boys Season 9 is now available on Netflix and is full of laughs. The events of season 8 ended with our protagonists Ricky and Julian in prison, unable to assist in issues surrounding Sunnyvale. In their absence, alcoholic Trailer Park Supervisor Jim Lahey and his wife Barbara Lahey have turned the park into a retirement villa. All alcohol has been banned from the park, and Ricky has been forbidden from returning home.
To facilitate these new park rules, Lahey has hired retired Colonel Leslie Dancer as the parks new rule enforcer. The male Leslie has corrupted the mind of Jim Lahey and wedged himself between his and Randy’s relationship. Everything that the boys loved about the park has been stripped away, and they need to find a way to get the Sunnyvale they love back. Bubbles, who stayed in the park during its transformation, has profited from the park’s new dynamics by opening a diner out of his shed and a miniature bowling lane.
Ricky and Julian are outraged to discover these changes, and Ricky is actually rendered homeless. When Julian gets inside the park and returns to his trailer, his anger is furthered when he discovers his trailer has been painted pink and turned into a beauty/massage parlor. The characters must go through a variety of financial schemes to return to the park that they love in this wacky, outrageous new season.
