Fashionably later than usual, the officers of this year’s senior class have unveiled the newest class fundraiser to date. With designs and concepts created by Alex Chelton and myself, Dusty Burch, the senior class looks to generate a marginal profit with apparel provided by Creative Imprints. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward events such as, but not limited to: the senior class banquet, the end of the year retreat at the Peek’n Peak Resort, prom, and graduation at the Warner Theatre. Items on the order form are as listed below.
The first product on the order form is a black Gildan 50/50 Blend Long Sleeve T-Shirt. On the front one can see the simple, yet unique, white “CP” with an orange border around the edges of each letter. As the left sleeve comes into view, the phrase “CP NATION” can easily be spotted, as it introduces the main theme of the shirt, which is presented in full on the back-side. From the back, the “CP Nation” theme truly is established, as it displays a Prep-themed American Flag covering the map of the United States. Many have expressed their concerns over the shirt, as the “CP” on the front does not appear the same on the back, and seemingly lacks the idea of color-concept matching. The idea of “CP Nation” was inspired in full by the works of Prep grad Will Lewis ‘17, and his “CP American Flags” from the 2016-17 calendar school year senior class fundraiser. The original concept of this shirt as a whole was heavily influenced by the Vineyard Vines classic pocket-tee design and idea, but the new shirt follows a completely different path that is not necessarily the most popular among the rising students, which can heavily influence the amount of money brought in by the senior class.
Following the T-shirt, is a black Gildan 50/50 Blend Hooded Sweatshirt with a very similar concept. Instead of a white “CP” on the front, this hoodie displays the classic “CP” orange logo with a white outline bordering the letters. On the back, the “CP Nation” theme appears once again, with the same Prep-inspired map of the U.S. as the previously showcased t-shirt. With the CP Nation hoodie, “CP Nation” is displayed on the back, directly below the map logo. This hoodie could be a big hit for the senior class, as the Spirit Store at HFEC does not feature a very wide selection of comfortable outerwear with a hood.
With a shirt and hoodie for the upper-layer, the senior class officers did not leave out the bottoms! With a black pair of Polyester Mesh 9” Inseam Shorts by Champion, the “CP Nation” theme continues to dominate this fundraiser, as it shows the same map logo as the t-shirt and hoodie on the lower right-leg’s front-side. As the Spirit Store only has a limited amount of shorts for previous, current, and future Prep students, the “CP Nation” shorts may be a big seller for the seniors!
Last up on the order form, is the black “Ramblers” 50/50 Blend Sweatpants with Pockets. The original design on these sweatpants take a slightly different route from the CP Nation theme, as they display a never before used rambler logo. As the logo heavily follows and orange and white color scheme, so does the horizontally printed “Ramblers” along the left leg.
