Personally, I love Blaze Pizza. Instead of the price getting higher and higher for each topping you add to the pizza, Blaze charges you one price for all the toppings I could ever want. While it is controversial, I load my pizza with absolutely everything. I get jalapeños, mushrooms, peppers, basil, garlic, ricotta, Gorgonzola, pineapple, spinach, olives, etc. It is delicious. The dough is light and crispy as well. It’s a close contest in terms of the pizza itself with Michael’s Pizza in North East, but they just do not have the range of toppings that you can get at Blaze. Although I will eat any pizza, Little Caesar’s is definitely the worst of the pizza chains. La Casa de Pizza also has great pizza as well, and so does Wegmans. I love their garlic pizza with the white Alfredo sauce.

The best pizza in the Erie area is Marco’s Pizza. For the longest time, I was a diehard Little Caesar’s fan. In recent years, though, there has been a severe drop off in the quality of their pizza. The two most outstanding aspects about Marco’s Pizza is their consistency in quality, as well as their affordability. The only downside is that their customer service is typically always lacking.

I would say my favorite pizza in Erie is Marco’s by far. I would say Domino’s pineapple pizza is second, with Pasalinqua’s third. I also really like to eat my pizza with something on the side, like garlic bread or an Italian sub, and Marco’s has the best bread as a side dish from these options; however, Domino’s and Pasalinqua’s have great Italian subs.

The best pizza in Erie would have to be the Colony Pizza located in the Colony Plaza right next to the Colony restaurant. A thin crust Pittsburgh style crust with homemade sauce and cured pepperoni is all around the best in the area. An honorable mention for sure goes out to Steel City on Peach Street and Steveo’s down on State Street for a very long list of items and specialty pizzas you can choose from. Erie is home to truly many great pizza places that have changed the people’s minds of thin crust pizza and even shell crust pizza. But no other places stand up to the greatness of Colony Pizza.

The best pizza in Erie is Donatos. While it is a chain since it has been around it has been the best. I like how they are thin pieces and a thin crust so it’s a little less filling. The sauce and cheese combine to make a great taste that I enjoy. Overall, while it may not be local, I think Donatos is the best pizza place in Erie.

I think the best pizza place in Erie is Blaze because they use a fire stove to cook the pizza. Blaze is also customizable so you can put different topping on your pizza. I usually get regular sauce, cheese, pepperoni, banana peppers, and spinach. They have gluten free crust, and it honestly tastes the same as, gluten crust, they have so many topping so every time you go in you can get different topping and never have to order the same pizza. I think the fire stove honestly is the best part, and makes it taste the best.

The best pizza in Erie, Pennsylvania, is Donatos. I personally prefer thick crust pizza over thin crust, yet Donatos thin crust pizza is some of my favorite pizza around. I may not choose it every time, but the crust is crisp, the temperature is almost always good, and the cheese and seasonings they use are fantastic.

My favorite pizza place, without a doubt, is Papa Johns. I have always enjoyed their pizza. Their stuffed crust pizza is my favorite food on the planet. I don’t think I could ever get tired of eating any one of their pizzas. A close second would be Blaze Pizza, but I would choose Papa Johns over Blaze, so that’s why it’s in second place.
