During the last week of January, Catholic Schools nationwide celebrate their Catholic education through Catholic Schools Week. Catholic Schools Week took place from Jan. 29 through Feb. 2. Students at Prep were granted themed dress downs alongside an engaging activity for the entire week.
Mrs. Grenci, Campus Minister at Cathedral Prep, shared her insights on Catholic Schools Week.
“Catholic Schools Week seemed to be a success this year,” Mrs. Grenci said. “There seemed to be good energy throughout the school, and students participated in the events/activities throughout the week. This year, there was a nice mix of prayerful events, fun activities, and service to remind us that we are a community rooted in faith.”
Many students enjoyed a lot of the old and new activities, such as Just Dance Tuesday, Adoration, and Bingo, just to name a few.
“I found the entire week to be super entertaining,” said senior Luciana Agresti about this year’s selected events. “Being able to dress down for an entire week was relaxing, and I enjoyed playing Just Dance with the entire school. The hot ham and cheese sandwiches at lunch were fantastic.”
Luciana also spoke on what her final Catholic Schools Week experience was like
“It was surreal to think about how I experienced Catholic Schools Week for the last time ever with all of my friends,” she said. “I am so glad that I attend a school like Prep that allows us to have special experiences like Catholic Schools Week, and I will cherish these memories forever.”
Thank you to Mrs. Grenci, Father Mike DeMartinis, and Father Jason Feigh for a fantastic week!
