Prep and Villa announce new streaming service

Prep+and+Villa+announce+new+streaming+service

This past week on Facebook the Prep-Villa page announced that all Prep and Villa sporting events will be viewable online via livestream for free. The best part about the new service is that it is unlimited!

The new streaming service is called NFHS Network and is fans’ ticket to watch any Cathedral Prep or Villa Maria Academy sporting event live. The games will be live from either Joann Mullen Gymnasium or Dollinger Field. This creates a new dynamic for sports fans in the Prep-Villa school community, allowing them to never miss a game. This is big news for students as well as they can all get more involved in school sporting events without having to attend them during the pandemic.

To be able to watch all the games on the NFHS Network you’ll need to visit, nfhsnetwork.com/users/sign_up. Once the account is set up, you’ll need to look up “Cathedral Prep” or “Villa Maria Academy” and select the “follow” button next to the school name. Once you’ve done this you’ll be able to get the live games right on your feed using the website.

The neat thing about the website is that it allows you to see the upcoming games but also lets you view games from previously. There also is this nice little feature where the website can link your favorite teams’ schedules to your calendar app on your mobile device. You can select a certain sport to watch as well, which gives users a variety of options and ways to interact on the app.

This is definitely a huge change for our community, especially with those who are so heavily invested in the sports programs we have to offer. It’s nice that we have a fast and easy way to access any high school sporting event live from any device.
