Cathedral Prep hosted its annual open house this past Sunday, Oct. 20, to show potential incoming freshman what school at Prep is like. All of the sports, clubs, and classes were on display in various locations around the school. Many of the Prep’s students served as tour guides or representatives of a certain class, sport, or club.
When tourists walked in the building, they were greeted with a smile and a handshake from Mr. Pituch and sent on their way to tour the building. Starting on the third floor, students could check out the theology, art, ROTC, and Gannon scholar rooms. On the second floor, they were informed about the math courses, technology courses, and history courses that are available to them as a student at Cathedral Prep.
In the science wing, they discovered many interesting labs and coursework in the various science classes such as Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science, Physics, and Human Anatomy. Electives were shown in the music room and in the auditorium, showing opportunities for the musically talented.
The open house shows incoming freshman and their families all that Prep has to offer. They get to hear from students who currently attend Prep and how they feel about their current education. All of the families that came through the building seemed thoroughly impressed with the academic, athletic, and artistic opportunities presented to them.
At the end, they were shown a video that really recapped what Prep is all about. Students and faculty at Prep hope to see all of the kids who toured next year walking the halls in a shirt and tie. Roll Ramblers!
