Teacher Profile: Mr. Fleming

Teacher+Profile%3A+Mr.+Fleming

Mr. Fleming is a Social Studies teacher at Cathedral Prep. He teaches a variety of courses which include Psychology, Sociology, and Debate class.

Mr. Fleming has been teaching at Prep for six years now, and all of his teaching years have been at Cathedral Prep. Mr. Fleming gave some input on how he started teaching at Prep.

“I was very fortunate to be at the right place at the right time four years ago when Mr. Pituch took over as VP,” he said.

All teachers have a life outside of teaching, and Mr. Fleming is one of those teachers. “My hobbies outside of work include exercising, traveling (not as much during the pandemic; do not worry), and cooking. I am also an avid sports fan and tend to tune into most games.”

As mentioned before, Mr. Fleming teaches many different classes at Prep all with different agendas. He gave some input on what his favorite class is to teach at Prep.

“This would be a tie between sociology and psychology,” he said. “Both of the topics have always been an interest of mine and it appears that my students are as equally interested in those classes as well.”

Teaching also can’t last forever, though Mr. Fleming is not thinking that far ahead just yet.

“I am only in year six of teaching, so I still have a ways to go,” he said. “I’ll have to ask Mr. Daeshner, Mr. Cytuck, or Mr. Achille when I get closer to the finish line.”

Mr. Fleming has been a great addition to Prep teaching for the time he has been here. He has taught many different classes and inspired many different students to learn and be engaged. He hopefully will be at Prep teaching for a long time coming.
