Golf Team Wins Rough Rider Invitational

This past weekend the Cathedral Prep golf team was at the Rough Rider Invitational in Ohio. This is a very prestigious tournament, and Prep has been known to perform well and win in the past.

Prep played the first day at Oak Knoll. Andrew Britain (senior) shot a 74, Ryan Podufal (junior) shot an 81, Evan Wronek (senior) shot an 85 and Jack Kloecker (junior) shot an 89. Prep ended up 2 stokes back from Hudson, and they were tied for second place at the end of the first day.

The next day they had an early 8 o’clock start but played extremely well. Ryan Podufal shot a 76, Andrew Britain shot an 80, Jack Kloecker shot an 81 and Evan Wronek shot an 84.

The golf team ended up winning the tournament by 7 strokes. Andrew Britain was a runner up medalist. Andrew along with teammate Ryan Podufal also made the all tournament team for top-6 low scores that weekend.
