Mother Theresa Academy invited students from Villa and Prep to celebrate Halloween with them on Friday, Oct. 29. It was a great way to celebrate the spooky holiday and bring the three campuses together.
The students of Prep and Villa went to MTA with candy and fun activities for the grade school students. With different tables for the various clubs the high schools offer, there were many great options for the kids: coloring sheets and candy all around the cafeteria, as well as games and face painting in the gym.
“I really think everyone had a great time, volunteers and MTA students,” Gabriella Ottavio, a senior at Villa said. “The kids’ faces lit up when they saw Yearbook’s photo booth and Student Council’s candy bags.“
The students of MTA walked around to the different groups, parading in their Halloween costumes. The high school volunteers passed out treats to the students as they explored the different tables and groups. “I really enjoyed seeing their costumes and how excited they were to show us,” senior Anna Skinner said.
This event created a way to bring the campuses closer together and show the younger students what clubs Prep and Villa have to offer.
“I really hope this will become a new tradition for years to come,” Gabriella said.
