This week The Rambler staff looked back to childhood to reminisce about their favorite TV shows. Read on to find our what they liked to watch and then share your own childhood TV memories in the comments.
My favorite childhood cartoon/show was easily Adventure Time. When I was like 10 or 11, I watched that show religiously. There was a lot to like about it as well, such as the animation style and characters. I loved the characters in the show, plus the surplus of humor and a touch of action made me fall in love with it. Sadly, along with Regular Show, the show ended. In my opinion, that brought an end to Cartoon Network’s golden age.
When I was a child, my favorite TV show was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I have always been a Disney fan since I can remember, and I loved to watch anything on Disney Junior, but I always loved Mickey Mouse Clubhouse the most. I loved to dance to the music, and I loved how Mickey interacted with the audience through the screen. I was completely entranced by it.
When I was younger I watched a lot of TV with my family. I mainly watched things that were on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon because all the shows they had were great. Out of all of them though I’d say SpongeBob Square Pants will always be my all-time favorite from my childhood. I watched so much of it that there is not a doubt in my mind that it’s my favorite. There were a lot of other great shows I watched that kept me occupied as a kid, but SpongeBob will always reign supreme.
My favorite TV show as a kid was totally Amazing World of Gumball. To this day it’s the only show me and my brother can agree on. Neither of our attention spans can focus on a developed show so having Amazing World of Gumball on was a pleasant noise filler while we completed other tasks. My favorite character has always been Larry.
Personally, my favorite television show as a kid was Wizards of Waverly Place on Disney Channel. I loved this show because it kind of related to Harry Potter. I had read all the Harry Potter books and watched all the movies at a young age. I loved the fantasy and magic aspect of this story and Wizards of Waverly Place was a lot like this. I literally wanted to be Alex Russo, and I think she is the reason why I have such a sarcastic sense of humor today.
As a kid growing up I was fortunate enough to be able to watch many kids shows/ cartoons. I used to watch Phineas and Ferb, SpongeBob, Ben Ten, Fairly Odd Parents, and many more. But of all the cartoons I’ve ever watched Scooby Doo is my favorite cartoon. I liked how every episode was something new, with a new mystery to be solved. Scooby Doo has many classic episodes such as “A Night of Fright Is No Delight,” and “Jeepers, It’s the Creeper.” It tops all other cartoons and that’s why it’s my favorite childhood cartoon.
My favorite child hood show was SpongeBob. At the time, every episode was entertaining, and I enjoyed watching them. The other nice part was that there were a ton of episodes. It wasn’t one of those television shows where there’d be three seasons then it would stop. It was on TV for hours straight. That’s a reason why it was my favorite, because every time I turned it on, SpongeBob was constantly playing.
My favorite TV show as a kid was definitely Kicking It. I would always get home from school and turn this show on. My twin sister and I loved the show, and we would watch all the episodes together. I was more of a fan of the Disney Channel way more than actual cartoons.
