The second Parade of Champions of the school year took place this past Monday, Feb. 21 at the Hagerty Family Events Center. The Parade of Champions is an evening pep rally that is open to all students, faculty, alum, families, and friends of Prep and Villa. During the Parade of Champions both sports teams from Prep and Villa were represented. The goal of the event is to provide public recognition of the accomplishments of the school’s sports teams and to fire up the Prep and Villa family for the playoffs.
There is a parade for each sports season (fall, winter, and spring). Players from those respective teams are honored at the parade. This is a perfect way that all sports teams can be recognized for there accomplishments over the season.
This was the first year that Prep and Villa has hosted the Parade of Champions.
“I believe the parades have been a success,” teacher and organizer Mr. Bell said. “I take kids showing off and having fun in appropriate ways during the parade as a good sign.”
Prep and Villa has always wanted to represent all sports teams, and there is no better way to do it than the Parade of Champions.
Mr. Bell said, “The parade is never dull, and you’re guaranteed to have a great time.”
After the winter Parade of Champions, Prep and Villa plan to host a spring Parade of Champions as well. It will take place Wednesday, April 27, at the Hagerty Family Events Center. Bring your friends and family and enjoy a great time with the Prep and Villa community.
