Logistics Plus is a local provider of transportation, warehousing, global logistics, and supply chain solutions. The company was founded 25 years ago in Erie, Pa., by Jim Berlin. Logistics Plus is now located worldwide in over 30 countries.
Much like the rest of the world, Logistics Plus is concerned for the disheartening conflicts occurring in Ukraine. One of the workers of Logistics Plus noted that, “while disheartened by the circumstances that innocent people have been facing in Ukraine, it gives the world a chance to really come together and work towards a common good.”
By practicing solidarity and protecting workers located in Ukraine, CEO Jim Berlin decided to start a fund to raise money for food, lodging, and other necessities.
On April 14, Logistics Plus hosted a fundraiser at the BrewErie at Union Station where proceeds were contributed to Ukraine relief efforts. The night consisted of appetizers, brews, games, and giveaways. By the end of the event Logistics Plus had raised $2,159.
An anonymous alum of Villa Maria Academy attended the event and found herself optimistic that people will join together to benefit Ukraine. She showed particular interest in the pierogis offered by the BrewErie.
Villa Victors, alum, administration, staff, and students have also been making efforts to assist Ukraine and provide relief. Through prayer, fundraisers, and increase in awareness, Victors stand with Ukraine.
