Driving out past Erie’s local amusement park Waldameer is Presque Isle State Park. Located at 301 Peninsula Drive in Erie, Presque Isle is a place where individuals can watch the sunset with the snow. The cold air combined with the frozen-over lake makes the view of the sunsets utterly astonishing.
There are two ice-skating rinks in Erie where individuals can glide around the ice. Both skating arenas have open skate and skate lessons as well. Customers are allowed to rent out skates. Individuals may have winter fun at both locations.
‘Tis the season for snow, and Erie tends to get as some would say “too much snow.” When the snow has fallen upon the trees and the roads of this town it brings a sense of peace.
The cold winter winds and breeze while walking through neighborhoods full of Christmas lights has seemingly been a tradition Erie residents cannot miss.
If individuals tend to be more on the adventurous side, they can take their sleds up to parks such as Frontier Park on West 6th and Seminole streets and have a blast soaring down the hills. Another park individuals can take their sleds up to would be the Erie Golf Club. This hill is located off of Old Zuck Road. Winter in Erie can be enchantingly beautiful and exciting.
