Erie witnesses solar eclipse

Erie+witnesses+solar+eclipse

The solar eclipse is not a yearly event that happens. Not every year you are able to see this beautiful site to see but also very dangerous at the same time. Solar eclipses happen at least twice and no more than five tines a year, but they are not visible to everyone.

The solar eclipse that happened this year on April 8 was such an incredible day for millions to see. Erie, Pa., was fortunate enough to be in the path of totality. It is important to note that people are not supposed to look directly at the eclipse because it can cause very bad damage to people’s eyes, and they could potentially go blind in this process.

Anyone wanting to watch the solar eclipse needed to get specific glasses that allow them to look at the sun safely. A solar eclipse is when the moon is swept across the sun completely. The light around will slowly dim and then surrounds everyone in darkness from every angle.

Once the eclipse has fully formed the world finally returns to normal around you. There is a flash, a bright light that appears, and everything starts to fall back into place. Many different locations got to experience this event from Mexico to the United States and Canada. Everyone gathered with the ones they love from family, friends, classmates, and or even just their neighbors to celebrate this extraordinary occasion.
