The 2024 homecoming king and queen will be crowned this weekend after student voting is tabulated. This year the homecoming court features ten seniors: five boys and five girls. Most students are already familiar with the members of homecoming court; however, some may not be, especially underclassmen. It is important to know more about the seniors you are voting for. From fun facts to favorite Prep memories, everyone in this year’s homecoming court has a unique perspective and different story to tell.
Devin Easter
Devin Easter is a 17-year-old senior on this year’s homecoming court. His interests include sports, video games, and finding peace in things he loves doing. He also loves to travel. Devin is a part of the diversity club and currently runs track and field. His favorite activities are lifting, relaxing, and hanging out with friends and family. Devin’s favorite movie is The Pursuit of Happyness[MH1] , and his favorite food is chicken wings with fries. “One of my favorite memories at Prep is Mary’s Day because that is when the school comes together one last time before the year ends,” Devin said.
Roman Hamm
Roman Hamm is a senior who puts a lot of time into his responsibilities and interests. He likes to hunt, play sports, and spend time with friends and family. Roman is a multi-sport athlete, participating in indoor track, outdoor track, and football. He is also a member of National Honors Society, Debate Club, and Spanish Club. In his free time, Roman enjoys going on car rides with his friends. Cars is his favorite movie, and General Tso’s chicken with rice and lo mein noodles is his favorite food. “My favorite memory at Prep is Mary’s Day because of the unforgettable experience it brings,” Roman said.
Spencer Kanne
Spencer Kanne is a senior who comes from a long line of Prep and Villa graduates stemming almost 60 years. Some of his interests and activities include playing sports like basketball, golf, and pickleball along with spending time with family and friends. “In my 4 years at Prep, I have played basketball and participated in clubs like National Honors Society, Outreach Club, and campus ministry,” Spencer said. His favorite movie is Good Will Hunting, and his favorite memory at Prep is forming new friendships and relationships with peers and teachers.
Declan Toohey
Declan Toohey is an active and busy senior. He is a senior class officer, plays soccer, and runs track. Declan also participates in Outreach Club, National Honors Society, and Campus Ministry. His favorite memory of Prep is watching the Prep vs. McDowell football games with his classmates. Outside of school, Declan likes to play sports, golf, and hang out with friends. His favorite activities include playing soccer and basketball with friends. “An interesting fact about me is my favorite movie is the latest Batman,” Declan said.
Taijoun Williams
Taijoun Williams is a senior who is involved in various activities. He runs indoor and outdoor track and plays football. In his free time, Taijoun likes to have fun and hangout. His favorite food is fries, and his favorite movie is Home Alone. “My favorite memory at Prep is when the power went out and everyone went crazy,” Taijoun said.
Lilli Beuchert
Lilli Beuchert is an involved member of the senior class. She is a part of National Honors Society and takes part in both Outreach Club and American Sign Language Club. Lilli is also a captain of the school’s tennis team. Additionally, she volunteers at the Barber Center once a month. “My favorite movie is 10 Things I Hate About You, and I love going to the beach in the summer and watching the sunset,” Lilli said. “As well as the beach, I also enjoy going to concerts!” Lilli also enjoys taking walks, listening to music, and playing tennis/pickleball with friends. A favorite memory of hers is traveling to Hershey with her tennis team for states the past two years.
Kayla Bogdanski
Kayla Bogdanski is a senior at Prep and is an officer of National Honors Society and member of National Art Honors Society. Kayla has been on the track and field team for all 4 years, having competed in district and state championships. She is very active throughout the school and is co-president of American Sign Language Club. One activity she loves to do is hike and go on walks with her dogs. “My favorite memory at Prep is going to Disney with the Show Choir my junior year,” Kayla said.
Kylie Bruno
Kylie Bruno, an active student in the senior class, is involved in many activities at Cathedral Prep. She is a member of the Honors Dance Ensemble, as dancing is one of her passions. Kylie is also involved in the Rally Club, becoming an officer this year. “My favorite activities are walking at the peninsula, hot yoga, and going to the gym,” Kylie stated. “Interesting facts about me are that my favorite movie is The Notebook and that my favorite food is any kind of Chinese food.” Her favorite memory at Prep was her 2023 Spring Showcase.
Olivia Hutchinson
Olivia Hutchinson is the 2nd oldest in a family of five children. In her very limited amount of free time, she enjoys reading, camping, traveling, hanging out with friends, and playing sports. “At Prep I play varsity volleyball and bowling. I am also an officer of NHS, a member of Campus Ministry, and the president of my youth garden club,” Olivia said. Her favorite movie is Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and her favorite Prep memory is celebrating Halloween with her classmates sophomore year.
Ava Lucarotti
Ava Lucarotti is a part of National Honors Society and the Rally Crew here at Prep. She also plays basketball. Her favorite memory at Prep was going to the state championship game last year. In her free time, Ava enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach. “I like summer, traveling, self-care, and going to concerts,” Ava said. She has a dog named Ziggy and two older brothers, Ryan and Michael. Ava’s favorite food is pasta, and her favorite movies are The Notebook and Coach Carter. Another fun fact about Ava is that her favorite colors are pink and blue, and her favorite location to go to is Florida.
