This week the staff wrote about their favorite hobby.

My favorite hobby is to play soccer. I have been playing soccer ever since I was 5 years old. I started out playing with my brother and cousins. Then, eventually, it became a huge part of my life. I joined club soccer for Erie Admirals and continued to play the sport all year round for my entire life. I played other sports at the same time as well, but nothing ever compared to my love for soccer. I especially love my high school team, and I am so proud of all that we have accomplished.

I would have to say my favorite hobby is golf. I could never really find a sport that I enjoyed until my sophomore year when my friend invited me to a golf range. And I’ve always enjoyed playing since then. It’s a game that takes a lot of practice to get good at, but it’s rewarding when you hit that one shot that’s perfect. It makes all the bad shots leading up to it mean nothing. I’ve also always enjoyed playing golf with friends because we always make it a competition of who can do better. So, although golf is an expensive hobby, it’s definitely my favorite hobby.
