The theme for this year’s school homecoming dance was “Midnight in Paris,” and it was truly an enchanting evening for all who attended. The Hagerty Family Event Center’s basketball court was transformed into a gorgeous Parisian atmosphere, adorned with sparkling lights, French-style décor, and a photo booth complete with an elegant background reminiscent of the City of Lights.
The dance floor was enjoyable, if a little chaotic, full of students who spent the night dancing, laughing, and catching up with friends. For many, the event offered a welcome break from the often hectic pace of high school life.
“I had a lot of fun at the dance,” senior Mackenzie Prather said. “It was nice to see friends and dance. It was also great to see the faculty there interacting with students. It was just an overall great night.”
Mackenzie’s words highlight how the event not only fostered student enjoyment but also strengthened the sense of community within the school.
This positive experience was echoed by fellow senior Tamara Bell.
“I had a great time,” Tamara said. “I liked it better than last year’s dance. The overall theme and décor were much better.”
Many students appreciated the attention to detail in the decorations, which helped create an immersive atmosphere that made the night memorable. Several other students also expressed their approval and enjoyment of the DJ, who played a mix of modern trap and 2000s club bangers, and the snacks, which included a variety of cookies and pastries.
The verdict from the student body seems positive, and the “Midnight in Paris” homecoming dance was a resounding success, providing students with an unforgettable evening of fun, friendship, and a little bit of Parisian magic.
Note: a spring semi-formal is scheduled for later in the year and Senior Prom will be attended by the senior class and of their dates/friends.
