Michael Agresti is a Cathedral Prep alumni who graduated in 1990. He chose to attend Prep because he knew it was the best school academically in the area. Two more variables that factored into his decision were his friends choosing Prep for their high school experience and a family history at Cathedral Prep.

His favorite part of attending Prep was he brotherhood and the friendships he made while attending.

“One of the funniest things that happened was one of the students left class earlier and got so excited to leave early,” he said.

He also spoke of how funny his friend Randy was.

Agresti’s son Charles attends Cathedral Prep today and is currently a junior.

When asked how the school has changed in the 31 years since attending, he said, “There is a bigger focus on preparing kids for college now than then. More electives help that.”

He also spoke about how Prep prepared him for the future whether that was college or the real world. Agresti said that it taught him very good study habits for college’s difficult classes, adding that it made the college classes easier to handle. Prep also taught him time management better than at another high school.

He currently works as an attorney where he handles disputes between businesses. They often fight over contracts. He also does a lot of real estate closings and various dealings within the business council. His favorite part of his job is seeing his clients get a good result.

While practicing law is his main source of income, Agresti also has his hand in multiple other businesses, including a demolition company where he is a part-time owner, a daycare business that he half owns with his wife, and he is also a part owner of The Flying Monkey Inflata-park, located at 3515 McClelland Ave.

As for his future plans, Agresti said that he is going to continue practicing law and continue to grow his businesses and grow his company and to see his kids grow and enjoy everything God has given him, which includes great family and friends.
