Trampoline park to open in Erie

Trampoline park to open in Erie

Scott Enterprises has recently announced plans to build a $10 million, 50,000-square foot trampoline park by fall of 2016. Construction is scheduled to begin in late fall 2015 or early spring 2016. The latest Scott Enterprises project gives many Erie residents another answer to the question, “What is there to do in Erie?” after Waldameer Park and Water World, Splash Lagoon, and Presque Isle.
The trampoline park will be located in Summit Township behind Hilton Garden Inn on Downs Dr. The trampoline park will have much more to offer than just a trampoline jumping area. In Scott Enterprises’ statement to goerie.com, they said that the facility will also include a “Ninja-obtacle course,” zip lines, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf, a multilevel laser tag arena and an interactive game arcade. Nick Scott Sr. also noted in his comments to goerie.com that they are so excited to announce this facility they haven’t even thought of a name for it yet.
Residents of the Erie area will have one more recreational outlet to relieve boredom. Many people look forward to an attraction for all ages rather than many of Erie’s other attractions, such as the casino, which is only an option for adults.
Many students at Prep also look forward to this fun opportunity. Senior Tyler Smith looks forward to this park commenting, “I will finally be able to get three inches off the ground.” Fellow senior Mike Causgrove commented that he will be “jumping for joy when it opens.” Excitement for the trampoline park will likely grow as the opening date grows nearer in the months to come.
