The feud between Meek Mill and Drake dates back to July 22, 2015, when former rapper Meek Mill called out Drake on Twitter. Meek Mill claimed that Drake used a ghostwriter to write his raps and didn’t promote Meek Mill’s album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. Meek Mill pointed out he is nothing like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole by stating “he trying to find a way out.”
During the huge outbreak on social media, more and more rappers started to get involved going against Drake’s side and some for Meek. Three days later after the post was tweeted, Drake dropped a diss aimed for Meek Mill. The name of the song was called “Charged Up.” In the song Drake talks about how Meek is a so-called snitch and it’s a bunch of lies. He said, “[I’m] done doing favors for people ‘cause it ain’t like I need the money I make off a feature.” After the diss was released Meek tweeted, “I could tell he wrote that it was soft.” Not waiting for Meek to respond Drake released another diss called “Back to Back.” The diss sent shots fire towards Meek and Nicki. The most liked lyric from the song was “is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? After the diss was released Meek Mill dropped four diss songs aimed for Drake.
After three long years on beefing finally the two came together to join sides. On Saturday night Drake and Meek Mill were both seen performing in Boston. As Meek rose from beneath the stage to perform his song “Dreams and Nightmare” Drake was right there cheering him on. Drake then announced “we need more peace in the world, we need more love in the world.”
