James Harden, MVP of the 2017-18 NBA regular season, has been showing off this year as to why he was the MVP last year and how he should be considered again this year.
Harden, who has played for the Houston Rockets since the 2012 season, has been increasingly stepping up his game more and more every year. Harden has been averaging an amazing 33.9 ppg this season so far with only a total of 37 games played. Harden is mostly known for his Euro-Step and his step-back 3 pointers. This year he has stepped it up a lot more, scoring inside and using that step-back 3 pointer a lot more, getting a lot of chances for a four-point play.
Currently he is placed 3rd toward the MVP race of the 2018-19 season with Giannis Antetokounmpo in 1st and Anthony Davis is 2nd place. In the past 10 games of the regular season, however, Harden is averaging an astounding 40 ppg. With a season high 54 points this year in a loss against the Wizards in OT, he is in 2nd for most points scored this season behind Kemba Walker’s 60 points.
James Harden for this year is in 5th place behind Derrick Rose for the All-Star game for this year. Harden has been going hard this year and looks to be in strong contention for another MVP bid.
