There are only two more dates left on the calendar for the Cathedral Prep Bowling Club. Wednesday, April 10, was the last day to bowl before spring break. The turnout was lower than previous weeks, as only a few students showed up to participate.
Club advisor Mr. Fleming encourages students to come out to Greengarden Lanes after school and bowl for the last two dates on the calendar. After Easter break, bowling will still be held every other Wednesday from 3:30 until 5 p.m. There will be unlimited bowling for the price of $10.
On the last day there will also be pizza served to all students who show up to bowl. Bowling is great because it’s a place where students can be social, meet new people, and make new friends. There’s nothing like rolling a fast ball down the lane, cracking some pins, and possibly even getting a strike.
If you feel that the bowling balls might weigh a lot, have no worries. When you go to the bowling alley you can chose between a variety of bowling balls. There are some balling balls that are heavy, but others are light and have different curve patterns. Bowling can also serve as a stress reliever. If you’re not having a good day, you can take all your anger out on the pins by exerting force when you release the ball.
Prep senior Justin Czerwinski said, “Students are missing out on a lot of fun. Why not enjoy it while it lasts?”
