With the 2021-22 school year winding down, we asked the staff to reflect on their favorite memories and moments from the past year.

Colin Bish

There are too many good memories for me to narrow it down to just one. Early in the year, I remember our homecoming football game against Butler, and I played the best game of my life on the same day I was honored with the rest of homecoming court. Last month, I got to take a trip with the baseball team in Arizona, and I’ll never forget that once-in-a-lifetime experience and the memories I made with my teammates. And lastly, senior prom, which I was debating on even going to. I made up my mind and decided to go, and it was one of the best nights I ever had. But I think the one thing I’ll cherish out of all the memories is the growth in friendship I made with my fellow seniors. I’ll always remember them for the love and support they gave me all year long.

Olivia Buckel

My favorite memory from this school year is seeing Spider-Man: No Way Home with my best friend. We had awesome seats, the movie itself was awesome, and we drove ourselves there and spent the whole night together. We were so excited the entire movie, and packed movie theaters have such amazing energy. It was perfect. Homecoming was fun as well because I enjoyed seeing everyone at the dance, but watching that movie for the first time ever was the best.

Cole Corapi

This year has been pretty nice all around. There have been a lot of moments during this school year that I will carry on with me throughout the rest of my life. But the moment I always think is the best each and every year is the student section. The themes, the noise, the games, and the chants and cheers are what makes it memorable. Every time I was in the section it was such an amazing and fun time that will be remembered for a long time.

Maddie Hess

I think my favorite memory from this school year is homecoming. It had been one of the first normal large events I got to participate in for a while since COVID. Even though it was crowded and outside, it was very refreshing to be somewhere with all of my friends without masks on. I enjoyed hanging out and dancing. There was good music and lots of people. It was a good homecoming to end on before I graduate.

Sam Louie

My favorite memory from this year so far has probably been the McDowell- Prep football game. Even though we lost it was still a lot of fun being able to get almost everyone from the school to come together for it. I’ll never forget the small party we threw before the game in the student lot. Everyone came to tailgate so we had food and games all around our parking lot. That’s a funny moment that’ll always stick with me.

Jack Rouch

My favorite memory of this school year was being a part of the rally crew and performing rallies for the school. When I watched the rallies as an underclassmen I always thought how cool it would be to be a part of that, and the fact that I did was really cool. It was also really cool to be in front of the whole school seeing everyone laugh and get loud
