First and foremost, I do not believe that people in this area appreciate the variety of the seasons as much as they should. We live at the perfect latitude to experience the best of all four seasons; we get spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Depending on where you live in the world, you may get only summer and winter, or perhaps summer and a slightly cooler summer, and vice-versa. For me, the diversity and changing of the seasons is truly wonderful—people may grumble about snow in winter, or rain in spring, but these negatives pale in comparison to the seasonal treats that become available in each season—some notable ones include apple cider in fall, maple syrup in winter, strawberries in spring, and watermelon in summer. However, my favorite part of spring would have to be the new growth of plants—tons of flowers begin to bud and bloom, and my favorites are the trees that become covered in pink and white blossoms. It’s also nice when there is a light rain—the plants become dewy, and the smell of rain permeates the air. I just really enjoy seeing all of the plants again. Thus, spring creates a feel-good atmosphere for me.

My favorite thing about spring is the smell. This past Monday, I stepped outside of school after our last period and was immediately hit by nostalgia. Spring has a very defined smell to it, and it’s rather calming. It makes you think about playing outside when you were a kid. Other than the smell, the warm weather is always a plus since you’re not stuck inside all day anymore.

My favorite thing about spring would have to be the weather getting warmer from the winter’s cold. With harsh allergies, it’s very hard to get through the winter without getting a ton of colds and stuffy noses. When the weather gets warmer, it makes it a lot easier to breathe, and there’s also so much more you can do in the winter outside. There are plenty more activities that are summer related and can be a lot more fun. I personally like warmer weather better then the cold and when spring comes, it’s only the beginning of great warm weather.

My favorite thing about spring is the weather. During winter I enjoy the first snowfall, but after that the cold and snow become a nuisance. While the weather does not immediately become better when spring comes it slowly starts to improve. The days where the wind is blowing and it is not piercing cold with the nice smell after it rains is awesome. The green coming back on trees and being able to see the grass everyday is also amazing. Overall, the weather improving is my favorite part of spring.

My favorite thing about spring is the warm weather because it’s a great time of the year to go on a walk with my dog Gunner. He always get so excited when he sees bees because he tries to eat them. Also, there are always pretty flowers.

Spring has been an overrated season for as long as I can remember. Erie weather has never allowed spring to be joyful. It is constantly raining, sometimes even snowing still, and the streets are filled with left over slush from winter. And when all that miserableness ends, the air is immediately filled with pollen. Allergies are awful and an entire season filled with them is automatically my least favorite of the four.

My favorite thing about spring is essentially just the lack of snow. I really don’t like snow. I have never looked forward to winter, and I always just want spring to start because it meant no snow. The other thing I look forward to in spring is hockey playoffs. That is my favorite time of the year for sports. I always enjoy sitting on the couch and watching the best version of hockey, you will ever see. I enjoy being able to have the windows open for the nice, spring breeze to flow into the house as well while watching hockey playoffs.
