What is your biggest pet peeve?

What+is+your+biggest+pet+peeve%3F

Sometimes, some things in life are just plain annoying. This week students wrote about what bugs them the most. Read on to find out the biggest pet peeves of The Rambler staff and then share your own in the comment section.

Colin Bish

I’ve said this before, but my biggest pet peeve is people that act like they are better than everyone. Think narcissists, if you will. The reason that I dislike those more than anything is that it obstructs my moral code because I see everyone as equal. One person can’t just put themselves above the rest because that’s not how we should be acting.

Olivia Buckel

My biggest pet peeve is when people sniffle in class, especially when the room is quiet for silent work. I completely understand how annoying it is to have a stuffy nose, and you may not want to walk all the way across the classroom to get a tissue, but I just cannot focus when students around me are sniffling over and over again. It really gets on my nerves and sets me on edge. My mother also gets really annoyed when people do this around her, so I also think I inherited this trait from her. I always make sure to blow my nose if I have the sniffles because I know how much I dislike sniffling, so I try and be courteous to other people.

Two pet peeves that I have are people who chew food really loud or people who are really bad at driving. Out of those two though, chewing food really loud is for sure my biggest pet peeve. Whenever I’m out to eat or around friends and I hear someone eat really loud it just triggers me. Especially when I have a headache or something and I hear someone eating loud it just enhances that and makes me irritated. I’m not sure why but it triggers something in my mind that just makes me super angry.

My biggest pet peeve is when men interrupt me to talk over me. It really reflects how much respect someone has for you. At school sometimes the guys won’t even address me by my name, just “she” or “her.” They won’t talk to me; they talk about me. This is especially frustrating when they act superior when in reality they cant even act in a progressive way that displays ethical values and morals. I guess in the end it’s the ignorance that is my biggest pet peeve.

Bryce Kalie

My biggest pet peeve is when people or strangers get to close when talking to you. I am one that likes my personal space, so when people are all up on you it makes things so much worse. I also hate when you’ll be talking to a stranger and they get so close to you and you just don’t know what to do. To make matters worse some people may have stinky breath or have bad body odor. It’s one of the most awkward, disgusting things in the world and it needs to be stopped. Please, never be a close talker. I know for sure I’m not the only person who hates it.

Jack Rouch

My biggest pet peeve is when someone takes food off my plate and starts eating it. I don’t like it when people take my food when I’m eating without asking me. This has always been my biggest pet peeve since I was young.
