The Ramblers took on the Trojans in lacrosse at Gus Anderson field at 6 p.m. on Monday. This was the second matchup between the two teams. The Ramblers got the win in the first matchup of the season at Dollinger Field.
The first matchup between these two teams was a very good, close game. Prep ended up getting the win with a score of 10-8. With the game being this close in the first matchup, the second matchup was bound to be a good one.
The Ramblers took on McDowell at Gus Anderson field this time, so McDowell had the home field advantage. The game was tied after three quarters, but Prep ended up hanging on to a 10-9 victory. Jake Conrad had 4 goals and an assist. Eric Hindman and Owen Callaghan each had a hat trick.
“I’m just proud of my team,” said senior Jake Conrad. “We came to play in a big game and no one ever gave up. That is why we won.”
“We just kept battling all game and it went our way in the end,” said senior Eric Himdman.
The win gave Prep its second win against McDowell this season. Prep plays McDowell one more time this season on May 11 at Dollinger Field. The Prep lacrosse team continues to win big games and looks forward to a run toward states.
