Prep senior and Rambler staff writer James Janicki is a also a distinguished starter on the football team. James starts at right guard for the team, a team with a winning record and currently making a push for another state title.

James has a season chalk full of highlight-reel blocks up front in the trenches. James spoke about what motivates him to play football.

“Football is just a really great way to get my aggression out and just leave it all out on the field,” he said. “It’s likae a healthy way to release emotion.”

Just like everyone else on the football team, James has his sights set high, state championship high.

“Obviously our goal is to get another state title,” he said. “I mean, if we do that I’d be in the only class to have a football state championship every year we’ve been here; that’s pretty cool.”

As of right now he has two state rings and has been in the cheering section for another. James is all in for getting a hat trick during his Prep football career.
