What is your favorite holiday?

What+is+your+favorite+holiday%3F

Halloween is on the horizon with Thanksgiving and Christmas not too far behind. With the holiday season approaching, this week the staff answered the question: what is your favorite holiday?

Kwame Anim-Somuah

My favorite holiday is Christmas. All the childhood memories I have of staying and using Google’s Santa tracker to see when I would have to go to bed, making sure to be asleep before Santa comes. I love all the activities during Christmas time, like skating, making Christmas cookies and of course presents. What I like the most is spending time with my family. We always go see my grandma in New York City, and spending time with my entire family is always a great time.

My favorite holiday is Christmas. That may be a common answer, but sometimes things are common for a reason. Christmas is such a fun time of year, especially in my family. We have my whole family get together in one house. There’s good food and fun memories. Plus, the presents never hurt.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I always enjoy a day where the main objective it solely to just eat good food. I make sure to fill up my plate with a lot of mashed potatoes and green beans. I also enjoy spending the afternoon watching some quality football. Thanksgiving is also nice because the weather has not completely turned into garbage yet, so it presents an opportunity to take a look at all of the leaves one last time.
