This week the staff wrote about what skills they would like to learn.
Tamara Bell
If I could learn any skill, I would choose cooking. As a senior, I am starting to think about life after graduation and being able to cook for myself is important. I can make easy meals, but I would like to learn how to make more sophisticated meals. I would start by following easy recipes and then work my way up to more complicated dishes. Also, I would watch cooking videos to learn different techniques and to get better over time. Overall, learning how to cook would make me more independent and prepared for the future.

I wish to learn how to play the keyboard. A few years ago, my grandmother gave my family an old keyboard she no longer used. After some thinking, I decided that I wanted the keyboard. A few days later, after I told my grandmother that I took the keyboard, she sent me a song called “Claire de Lune.” Since then, I wanted to begin learning how to play the keyboard so I could play the song for her, which I plan on doing this summer.

I would like to learn any language. That would be very useful because I want to travel the world. Also it’d be kind of cool to hear what other people are saying when they don’t think I can hear them.
Grasyn Peterson
I would want to learn how to juggle. Juggling looks fun and easy to learn, so I don’t think it would take me much time to learn how to do it. It’s also a fun party trick that you can show off to your friends. You can also juggle most things, like oranges, tennis balls, etc. It’s also a somewhat of a backup career, if I ever fail in the medical field, tojust become a juggler.
