After more than a week off of school, students wrote about their Easter break.

Over Easter break, I spent a lot of time working, but I still made time to be with my family and relax. On Easter, my family and I went out for brunch at Calamari’s, and it felt nice to relax and spend time together. Later, I had an Easter egg hunt with my grandparents, which was incredibly fun and brought back memories from when I was younger. Lastly, I visited John Carroll University and decided that I am going there for college. Overall, Easter break was fun, peaceful, and something I will remember forever.

Over Easter break, I spent time with my family and enjoyed some alone time. My family and I briefly see each other throughout the week due to work and school. Easter break granted us some extra time to relax, watch a few movies together, and enjoy a few meals together. Easter break also allowed me to have some alone time in silence and listen to some music. I was also able to tidy up my room and reorganize the things in my closet.

I went on a hiking trip with one of my friends. We went to Allegheny National Forest and stayed the night. Then, on Easter day my family and I made Easter bunny cake. The cake is a tradition that we’ve done for more than 50 years since my mom was a kid. I also went golfing a lot at Lawrence Park Golf Club.

On my first day of break, I woke up really early to go the airport because we were going to Puerto Rico! Once we got there we drove to a resort, and it was amazing. They had a giant pool, lots of music, and the resort’s own private beach! Puerto Rico also had a bunch of cool animals like grackle and giant iguanas. While we were there, we got to hike through a rainforest, go snorkeling and kayaking. My dad and I went out by ourselves as well to golf at some of the nicest golf courses I’ve ever seen. One of the courses was a PGA course where they host the Puerto Rican Open. Overall, this was the best spring break I’ve ever had hands down.

I rested and got some work done over Easter break. I was also able to visit my family over break in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. My cousins and I got to go out for dinner and frozen yoghurt together. I’ve also been getting the rest of the information I need on scholarships and colleges together.
