If you could time travel, would you rather go into the past or the future?

This week the staff went in a different direction and discussed time travel, responding to the question: If you could time travel, would you rather go into the past or the future?

If I could travel to the past or future, I would choose to travel to the past. With the knowledge I would have compared to when I was in the specific time I’m traveling to, I feel that I would have a huge advantage and change some of the things I wish I could, depending on the repercussions. I feel that it would be more exciting to see what my future holds for me, but I would rather change or have a redo with some things in my past.

If I had to choose between having the ability to go back in time or going into the future, I would want to go back into the past. I would want to go back and relive all of the most important parts of history and also enjoy the best parts of my life thus far. I would also help myself to make better choices that what I might have chosen in my past. I feel like being able to know the future would be too much of a burden because I would not want to know when I die. I would spend my whole life worrying about what is going to happen without living in the moment.

If I could time travel, would I pick the past or future? That is a good question I honesty would travel to the future. I would want to travel to the future just to be able to see what our world has become. I would like to see the advancements made in the future. The past would be cool, but I feel like we learn about the past all the time in school or on the internet.

If I could time travel, I would go to the future. Because I know what happened in the past, I don’t feel the need to go back. I also wouldn’t want to change my past in any way because it shaped me into who I am. Going to the future, I would use it to prepare for what I have going on during the present. For example, I would look at what the questions are on a test so I would be prepared to take it.

I would go back to the past and relive my favorite memories. I would love to live my happiest days over again. Going back to the past would allow me to have a better grasp of who I am and why I am the way I am.

I would rather be able to travel into the future. There are a couple ways I think this could be used, and all are better than worrying about the past. I might just go check out the distant future and see if there are any cool things going on. I could also take short trips to the more recent future and use the information I gather to shape the future.

I would much rather go into the past than the future. I feel like going into the future would just stress me out. I would be so confused about what people I knew or who I stopped talking to in the future. I would also enjoy going back in time to see various different historical events. The history nerd in me would be very happy going to see all the events I have read about and have always wondered if the historical record is accurate.
