Christmas is less than a week away. This week our staff wrote about the best gift they have ever received for Christmas.

My favorite Christmas gift that I have ever received was a small jewelry dish my friend bought me. The jewelry dish has a print of two friends whose hands are reaching out to one another with text above them that is as follows: “No matter where we go, no matter what we do, you will always have me, and I will always have you.” These words really resonated with me because my friend and I have known each other since freshman year of high school and have been through thick and thin, so being reminded of the determination we both have to be there for one another no matter the time or the place means a lot to me.

My favorite gift I ever got for Christmas that I can remember are my headphones. This is because I love all music, from 70s slow jams to 2020s rap. I wear them a lot, especially before games to calm my self down and especially when I get too worked up. As long as I’m listening to music, I could probably sit down and stare into space for a few hours.

My favorite Christmas gift was when I got an Xbox 360. It was the first ever gaming console I ever had, and it was so much fun. It’s what got in me into so many of my favorite childhood games like Plants vs. Zombies or Minecraft. It was also the first time I got to play online, and so I got to play with friends from school, too. Eventually, I would switch to an Xbox One and then a PC, but the Xbox 360 was the first. This gift is what started my hobby for games, which is why it’s only right to say it’s my favorite gift I’ve ever had.

My favorite Christmas gift I have ever received was tickets to the Michigan vs. Maryland football game. I think I was 9 or 10, and my dad got them for me, my older brother, and himself. It was my first Michigan football game. I can still remember how excited I was when he told me Christmas morning that he had gotten tickets for us to go the next season.
