Despite A.I.’s ability to quickly identify the subjects of images, it is not immune to confusion, especially when trying to identify animals with nearly identical characteristics. Failing to properly identify the subject of an image and properly associate subjects, such as animals, with their respective characteristics can misinform ignorant users and create confusion. In this instance, users could mistake a seal (on the left) for a sea lion (on the right) if they assume that the A.I. chatbot’s answer is correct.
