Prep had its annual Outreach Day on Wednesday, May 13.
“The overall vibe [was] pretty positive,” Mrs. Grenci said.
Upperclassmen performed cleaning, landscaping, and collaborative tasks at various locations throughout Erie, such as Presque Isle State Park, the Erie Cemetery, and Saint Patrick Church.
“[For upperclassmen], the day is based on [service and] community,” Mrs. Grenci said.
Underclassmen participated in workshops that introduced them to the idea of service and its importance within the community.
”We [focus on teaching underclassmen] about the organizations in our community that help those in need and how we can serve better,” Mrs. Grenci said. “Through interactions with each other and the greater community, I hope we can be lights of Christ to others and that we see the light of Christ in those we are serving alongside.”
