The hallways of Cathedral Prep this school year have been a lot different compared to previous years, and it’s been looked at differently by the students attending online and coming into the building. One of the students navigating the new school year is junior Anthony Morgan.

Anthony, better known as “A-Morg” throughout the hallways and to his friends has been attending the school since freshman year. He is the class treasurer for the Class of 2022, as voted on by his classmates. Anthony has had family members that attended Prep before him, such as Evan Presta ’17, who he looks up to.

Anthony believes a lot of his success comes from the faculty at Prep.

“Teachers at Prep have helped me greatly to be the most prepared I possibly can for college,” Anthony said.

Anthony does plan to further his academic career at Gannon University and plans on entering the medical field to become a dentist, although he is currently a junior so his plan is not yet set in stone.

Anthony is not only a student, but he is also an athlete for Prep.

“As a player on the soccer team, I take great pride in wearing the uniform,” he said.

Anthony believes he needs to do his part to make sure the soccer team continues its legacy while he’s on the team.

“There were many great players before me, and I think they deserve the best I can give.”

He’s been playing soccer for most of his life from Walnut Creek to the Erie Admirals, and now with his current team, the Ramblers.

“It was always the plan for me to go to Prep for high school, even when I was younger,” Anthony said.

Anthony is a massive fan of Prep, and some of his favorite memories are from cheering for Prep at football games and basketball games. “There’s no better feeling at a football game then watching Prep beat McDowell at McDowell.”

He believes that even though there won’t be a student section this year due to COVID-19 that Prep will still be able to pull out the win because they know the brotherhood has their back.
