Moe’s vs. Chipotle

October 22, 2018

Throughout my experiences at Moe’s and Chipotle, I have found myself to prefer Moe’s. Typically, I get either a chicken burrito or a chicken stack with queso when I go to these Mexican restaurants, which is what I will be comparing.

To start, Moe’s is my favorite because of the queso and serving size. The queso at Moe’s is very rich with cheese, and has a little spicy kick to it. The reason this is a big deal for me is because I don’t prefer things that are very spicy, yet Moe’s queso has a perfect amount of spice to it. Also, the queso there is very creamy, which makes it all that much better.  Next, the serving size is bigger at Moe’s with what I get. When I compare the burritos and the stacks from both restaurants, I find that Moe’s has the bigger entree nearly every time. The reason this has so much priority for me is because I eat a lot of food, and sometimes it’s tough to find a meal that will completely fill me up and keep me full. To add on, Moe’s offers a free side of chips with your order, even if you don’t get a side of queso or guacamole.

Chipotle is a competing restaurant with Moe’s. The queso at Chipotle tends to be too thick for my liking, and it has a lot of spices in it.  When I think about queso, I expect it to be creamy, cheesy, and flavorful. The queso at Chipotle is very thick. It has too much spice, and it lacks the cheese flavor. As I mentioned before, the serving sizes are smaller here than at Moe’s. The burritos and the stacks tend to be smaller here.  One positive at this restaurant is that it is cheaper. On average, the menu at Chipotle is about $2.30 lower than that of Moe’s.

The Moe’s vs. Chipotle debate is a pretty heated topic nowadays, especially among teens. In my opinion, although Chipotle is cheaper, Moe’s has the advantage because of the queso and serving size.
